FCC certificates are tied to the exact product configuration tested. This isn’t a hypothetical; suppliers make these changes without telling buyers, and the resulting compliance gap becomes the buyer’s problem.
“FCC Listed” and “FCC Certified” are different authorizations. Supplier-based Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) is valid for many product categories, but some — particularly intentional radiators — require equipment authorization. Amazon sometimes specifies which it requires for a given category. A supplier saying “it’s FCC listed” when you need “FCC authorized” is a problem.

Amazon packaging and inbound requirements

Labels and barcodes. Every master carton needs an FNSKU label placed on a flat surface, not over a seam, and the label must be scannable after transit.
