Furniture is Foshan’s largest manufacturing sector by volume and global reach. The Lecong-Longjiang corridor in Shunde district is the single largest furniture production and wholesale cluster in the world. Longjiang township alone hosts over 1,200 furniture factories, and Lecong’s China Furniture and Decoration City (中国家具装饰材料城) functions as the global wholesale benchmark for wood, upholstered, and decorative furniture. Lecong and Longjiang (乐从 / 龙江) deserve separate mention because their scale is genuinely global. Lecong’s furniture market spans over 5 million square meters of wholesale showroom space. Longjiang’s 1,200+ factories range from 20-person workshops doing custom solid wood to fully automated case-goods lines producing 10,000 units per month. Lead times from Longjiang factories: 30–45 days for standard catalog items, 60–90 days for custom tooled furniture with new hardware or upholstery specifications.

Nanhai District (南海) covers LED manufacturing, aluminum and building hardware, ceramic tile production overflow from Chancheng, and a growing cluster of smart home peripheral manufacturers. The Guicheng and Dali townships within Nanhai have strong export infrastructure with direct connections to Guangzhou Nansha Port.

Chancheng District (禅城) is the historic center of Foshan’s ceramics industry. The Shiwan ceramic art area retains traditional ceramic craftsmanship, while the surrounding industrial parks house large-format tile factories with continuous kiln operations and automated sorting and grading lines. Foshan vs. Guangzhou vs. Zhongshan

Foshan vs. Guangzhou: Guangzhou is a trade and distribution hub; Foshan is a manufacturing hub.
