Chinese factories build most of the world's LoRa modules, almost all around Semtech's SX127x and SX126x chips — the SX1276 is the older workhorse, the SX1262 the newer low-power part with better sensitivity and lower receive current. The detail that trips buyers is regional frequency: a module is built for a specific band (868 MHz EU, 915 MHz US, 923 MHz AS923/Japan) and must carry the matching cert (CE/RED, FCC, or TELEC). Buy the wrong band and the radio is legally useless in your market.
