Temperature & Humidity Sensor (Zigbee / Tuya)

A temperature and humidity sensor reports room climate and triggers HVAC or dehumidifier scenes — useful in the Gulf where air-conditioning runs year-round. The spec that separates a useful unit from a decorative one is sensor-element accuracy: a genuine Sensirion SHT3x/SHT4x gives ±0.3°C / ±3% RH, while a generic element drifts. Sensor element is the whole product

The sensing element determines accuracy, drift, and repeatability:

• Element brand. Sensirion SHT3x/SHT4x (or Bosch BME280) elements hold ±0.3°C / ±3% RH; generic Chinese elements can drift several degrees over a year. Request the element brand and part number in the BOM.
• Self-heating and placement. A sensor mounted near its own electronics or in direct sun reads high. Confirm the enclosure isolates the element and ask for the accuracy spec at the production drive.

The action item: verify the actual sensor element part number on a sample against a reference meter — datasheet accuracy means nothing if the element is a generic substitute.

Display, battery, and protocol

An LCD or e-ink readout adds standalone value; e-ink holds the reading without battery drain. Battery life depends on Zigbee poll interval — ask for a measured average-current test. Zigbee 3.0 binds to a local hub; Tuya Wi-Fi uses the Tuya app with Arabic support (Tuya reference).
